Well, the bite slowed after a decent weekend. Weather was a factor, as the wind was howling. Still lots of action, just hard to put fish in the box, with 25 knts of wind in your face.
Planning another Gorda trip for June 27th. The first one filled up really fast with all of the regulars ready to go and catch some jumbo bottom fish.
Again, the trip on the 27th is designed for the very avid fisherpersons, please no youngsters or rookies. It is a long boat ride, a long day, but some of the best fishing on the West coast. We run well over a 100 miles round trip, and burn over 250 gallons of diesel, to put our folks on the big fish.
These anglers are what make the trips a huge success, a lot of new friends are made, and we see the same faces, year after year.
Well, time to get our permit to transit the closed zone from DFG!
